Born Loser And The Hangers On - Bringing Back Real Indie-Rock

If you were to play "The Mosquito Song" by Born Loser And The Hangers On (their friends call them BLATHO) to a kid, they would say they've never heard anything like it. If you were to play the same song for the 50 year old sound tech at a bar, they would say it's been a long time since they've heard anything like it.

With a style that seems to blend a 90's Madonna with an 80's Tina Turner and a sprinkle of Janis Joplin, you kind of wonder why all you can think of is Florence And The Machine/Dave Matthews. The only thing you can be certain of is that you kinda like it. The second time you listen to it you like it a bit more, the third time even more, and so on. Eventually all you can do is hunt them down at one of their shows, buy a hand-doodled CD and home-made band tee, and hope to hang out with them. Chillest people ever.

They just released a "name-your-price" EP on their website. Donate a few bucks or snatch it for free, just know ahead of time that you WILL become one of those screaming die-hard fan groupies. www.blatho.com

  1. It's just not really my style, still like it though!

  2. I like them, they're quite catchy! Probably showing my age, but they have the same pop-punk energy I remember from The Presidents of the Uniter States of America.

  3. Garage rock really killed the idea of indie rock.
